I offer counselling services for children, adolescents, and adults. I have a background working in private practice, and educational and forensic settings. In my earlier career, I worked as a registered nurse. I like to provide therapy that's strength based, that supports the process of discovery and understanding. My intention is to help you make sense of things and understand yourself better, help you to resolve complicated feelings, or find ways to live with them, help you to recognise unhelpful patterns and find ways to change them, and support current or long-term challenges.

I provide support for a broad range of issues such as reduced self-esteem, stress, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, divorce/separation, coercive control, grief, parenting, academic concerns, relationships, and healing from childhood relational wounds. I often work with neurodivergent clients (ie. Autism/Aspergers and ADHD). I work with clients under NDIS, Workcover, AFL, TAC, and Victims Assistance Program.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma informed. Therapies I draw on are:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)- individuals only

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)- involves schemas
